The Lakers on Friday named Luke Walton coach, and the L.A. Times' Mike Bresnahan reports his contract is for "five years and about $25 million." ESPN's Marc Stein cites sources that value the five-year deal "(four years guaranteed) at $5-to-6 million annually including incentives" (TWITTER.com, 4/30).

The NLL Buffalo Bandits drew a sellout crowd of 19,070 to First Niagara Center for their '16 regular-season home finale last night, marking the largest single-game attendance for an NLL game this season (THE DAILY). 

The Orioles, their charitable arm OriolesREACH and MLB on Friday hosted Autism Awareness Night at Camden Yards, where "local leaders in promoting autism awareness were honored for their contributions to the initiative in a pregame ceremony" (Baltimore SUN, 4/30).
