Ohio State Draws More Than 100,000 For Spring Game, Breaks Record

Ohio State yesterday drew a "record-breaking crowd of 100,189" for its spring game at Ohio Stadium, the "largest crowd in the history of college football games in the spring" (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 4/17). OSU's crowd broke the national record of 99,391 the school set last year (COLUMBUS DISPATCH, 4/17).

Meanwhile, Georgia yesterday drew a crowd of 93,000 for its annual G-Day spring game, which "flattens the previous G-Day record, set last year, of 46,815" (ATHENS BANNER-HERALD, 4/17). Nebraska's crowd of 72,992 yesterday was "plenty impressive, just slightly behind the 76,881 that filled Memorial Stadium last year" for coach Mike Riley's first spring game with NU (Lincoln JOURNAL STAR, 4/17).
