Linda Cohn Hits Milestone By Hosting 5,000th Edition Of "SportsCenter"

This morning's 8:00am ET "SportsCenter" marked the 5,000th edition for ESPN's Linda Cohn, who said today's show "exceeded expectations." Cohn, an NHL Rangers fan, was joined on the show by members of her family, and also received a call from Hockey HOFer Mark Messier. Cohn said to Messier, "This is the best ever, you know how much I love you and appreciate you." Cohn told THE DAILY via a spokesperson, "When ESPN wraps its arms around something -- in this case me -- nobody does it better. ... I loved the endless surprises." The hashtag #Lco5kSC was still trending on Twitter two hours after the show went off the air ("SportsCenter," ESPN, 2/21).
