St. Louis Residents Argue Whether To Build New NFL Stadium

Football fans yesterday met on the riverfront in St. Louis to "argue the merits of building" a new NFL stadium. Area residents voiced their opinions on "whether the city should contribute" $145M toward building the proposed NFL stadium. Saturday was the first time the public "was allowed to directly speak to city officeholders about the stadium proposal." A large number of Rams fans "were at the event wearing team paraphernalia." The event, "marked with disagreements and some salty language, showcased the nature of the dividend region: particularly the St. Louis and St. Louis County divide" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 11/15).
