Germany-U.S. Garners High TV, Live Streaming Numbers For ESPN

ESPN’s Germany-U.S. World Cup telecast Thursday averaged a 6.7 final rating and 10.7 million viewers, making it the second-highest rated, and third-most viewed, men’s World Cup match ever on ESPN or ESPN2. WatchESPN's live-stream had 3.2 unique viewers and 143.0 million live minutes viewed. The telecast also ranks as ESPN’s most-viewed weekday, non-holiday, afternoon program on record. The telecast at its highest point averaged 12.1 million viewers and a 7.7 rating from 1:30-2:00pm ET. Meanwhile, ESPN.com and ESPNFC.com set platform records Thursday for unique visitors in one day, hitting 19.5 million and 7.8 million, respectively (ESPN).
