ESPN's Hannah Storm today resumed her anchoring role on "SportsCenter" after missing more than a month due to serious burn injuries. Storm prior to today last appeared on the show on Dec. 10, a day before suffering the injuries (THE DAILY).

The Univ. of Notre Dame yesterday announced football coach Brian Kelly was "no longer a candidate" for the Eagles' head coach position, and that he would be "returning to ND" for his fourth season (SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE, 1/13).

Pirates CF Andrew McCutchen will appear on the cover of "MLB '13 The Show" after receiving the most votes in Sony's online competition. McCutchen "scored 108,148 votes," 19,092 more than runner-up Yankees P CC Sabathia (POST-GAZETTE.com, 1/12).

The Padres and Competitor Group on Friday announced a multiyear partnership which will see Petco Park serve as the finish line for the '13 Rock 'n' Roll San Diego Marathon & 1/2 Marathon (Competitor Group).

NASCAR driver Kyle Busch "signed a multiyear deal" with Joe Gibbs Racing last month. His contract with JGR was "set to expire after the 2013 season" (USATODAY.com, 1/11).

DC-based WPGC-FM "capitalized on the RGIII mania," and announced that they would be temporarily changing their call letters to support injured Redskins QB Robert Griffin III. The station on Friday posted on its official Twitter account, "We are now WRG3!!!" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 1/11).
