Sources: Armstrong May Admit Using PEDs, Blood Transfusions

Lance Armstrong is “considering publicly admitting that he used banned performance-enhancing drugs and blood transfusions during his cycling career.” Sources said that he would do so “because he wants to persuade antidoping officials to restore his eligibility so he can resume his athletic career” (N.Y. TIMES, 1/4). Such an admission “could enable Mr. Armstrong to begin the process of restoring his public reputation, which has been badly damaged in recent months” (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 1/5).
