Weekend Briefs....

CBS' "60 Minutes" continues its NFL coverage tonight. While Jaguars Owner Shahid Khan was interviewed last week, tonight Scott Pelley interviews Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, who talks of a bounty system at the Saints.  Rodgers: "Every game I feel like they're trying to take me out. Now I don't know about money. I've never felt there's been money on my head. The defense is trying to either knock you out of the game or knock you out of your rhythm. It's everything from trash talking to borderline late hit to a dirty play” (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 11/3).

The Astros "unveiled their new-look on the floor of Minute Maid Park" on Friday night in front of more than 5,000 fans and several current, former and future Astros (MLB.com, 11/2).

A request by U.S. skier Lindsey Vonn to compete in a men's World Cup downhill race “has been rejected” by the Int'l Ski Federation council. The council ruled Saturday at a meeting in Oberhofen, Switzerland that “women are not entitled to compete against men, and vice-versa, during World Cup events” (LATIMES.com, 11/3).

New Orleans's WWL-AM talk-show host and former NFLer Bobby Hebert was“ejected from the LSU press box Saturday night "for creating a disturbance during the game."
