Actor Quincy Isaiah, who plays Magic Johnson in “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty” on HBO, talked about playing the NBA great, including having to attend a basketball boot camp with former Lakers F Rick Fox. Isaiah: “I was just thinking like, ‘Oh, we about to just shoot some hoops, throw some passes.' He was like, ‘Lace them up,’ and we start running and dribbling and shooting and just started doing drills. I would shoot, run, touch the line, come back, shoot, run, touch the line. It was a lot, it was a lot. But I found out later, he tried to make me throw up. Didn't happen” (“Late Night,” NBC, 4/6).
NBC’s Jimmy Fallon said of Kansas winning the NCAA title after the biggest second half comeback in championship game history, “The Kansas players woke up today like, ‘It felt like a dream. You were there, and you were there, the Tin Man, you were there.’ … Speaking of comebacks, today Tiger Woods, who’s still recovering from an injury that many thought would end his career, said that he plans to play this week at The Masters.” Fallon: “People thought Tiger was done, and now he’s back.
