AutoZone Liberty Bowl Will Have Second Sellout In Three Years

A "capacity crowd of 57,266 is expected to watch" Memphis-Iowa State in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl at 11:30am ET on Saturday. It is the "second time in three years that the Liberty Bowl game has been sold out" in Memphis (COMMERCIALAPPEAL.com, 12/29). ISU QB Kyle Kempt said, “I wouldn’t expect anything less from our fans and just the uniqueness of the game and how we’re in Memphis.” ISU sold out its ticket allotment "weeks ago" (AMES TRIBUNE, 12/29).

Meanwhile, N.C. State had a "ticket allotment of 6,000" for Friday's Hyundai Sun Bowl against Arizona State. The school "sold about half of those to its fan base and donated the remaining tickets to soldiers at Fort Bliss in El Paso" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/28).
