NFLPA's New REP Worldwide Venture Reaches Into Women's Sports

The NFLPA's business arm, NFL Players Inc., has launched REP (Representing Every Player) Worldwide, a player marketing and licensing group. REP will take on as its first clients and partners the WNBPA and the union for the U.S. women's national soccer team. Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed. The NFLPA is the majority stakeholder in the venture, but the WNBPA and the USWNTPA also will have equity stakes as founding partners. An announcement about the new entity is coming today.

REP Worldwide will work to create and manage sustainable group licensing and player marketing programs for members of the WNBA and USWNT unions. REP will be based in DC, where the NFLPA is based. NFL Players Inc. President Ahmad Nassar will serve as Chair of the new entity. NFL Players Inc. VP/Licensing & Business Development Steve Scebelo will be involved in the day-to-day operations.
