Bills' Incognito Blasts NFL Over Scheduling Thursday Night Games

Bills G Richie Incognito following last night's loss to the Jets "railed against" the NFL's Thursday games. He said, "These Thursday night games, they suck. They throw a wrench in our schedule. It's absolutely ridiculous that we have to do this. As physical as this game is and as much preparation that goes into this, to force us to play games on four-day weeks, it's completely unfair and bull----. Whatever. The league makes money off of it, and that's all they care about anyway" (BUFFALO NEWS, 11/3).

Incognito is "far from the first player in the NFL to complain about the short week." But Bills LB Lorenzo Alexander said of Incognito's comments, "That's an excuse. Both teams had to play on a short week" (USA TODAY, 11/3). Bills C Eric Wood said, "I'm not gonna complain about it. Everybody's got to do it. I thought we were prepared. When the lights came on, we just didn't make enough plays" (ESPN.com, 11/3).
