T'Wolves-Warriors In Shenzhen Draws Sellout Crowd, Media Circus

A "packed crowd" of 17,495 earlier today attended T'Wolves-Warriors at Shenzhen Universiade Center in China as part of the NBA Global Games. The Warriors, despite losing 111-95, "appeared intent on putting on a show for their biggest international fanbase." The team "pulled its starters midway through" the third quarter, but after the final buzzer, G Stephen Curry "jogged off the floor" to a round of applause (S.F. CHRONICLE, 10/5). The Warriors' first trip to China since '13 has been marked by "large crowds and a heavy police presence." Some 240 reporters from 123 outlets were "credentialed for these Global Games, less than half of the 500 media members who applied" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 10/5).
