Dennis Eckersley Ready To "Move On" From David Price Conflict

Dennis Eckersley "returned to the NESN broadcast booth for the first time" since July 20 last night and made it clear that he wants his conflict with P David Price to "go away." He said, "I don’t want to bebop around it. It’s brutal, really, because it’s a very unfortunate set of circumstances. But I think everybody wants to move on, I’m the guy that wants to move on. I want to say that the fans have been great. This support that they’ve given me is incredible. But let’s move on" (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/4). NESN analyst Tim Wakefield said Eckersley "states the truth," but he is not "personally critical against you as a player." Wakefield: "He’s a Hall of Famer, he knows how hard the game is" (BOSTON HERALD, 8/4).
