Penn State yesterday announced the "completion of the student section season ticket sales," for football in '17, which "sold out across all four classes." In full, 21,000 student season tickets "were sold in a total of 89 minutes over four days" (PENNLIVE.com, 6/22).

Country music singer Garth Brooks will perform in Atlanta at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Oct. 12, the "first non-sporting event at the 71,000-seat stadium" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 6/22).

A source said that the Horizon League "has offered membership" to IUPUI (DETROIT NEWS, 6/23).

The Sharks have reached an agreement with N.Y.-based Franklin Group to become the official promotional partner of the team (Sharks).

The NCAA runs a full-page ad in USA Today celebrating the anniversary of Title IX: "Forty-five years ago, Title IX created opportunity for women in education and sports. And that was just the beginning" (THE DAILY).
