Intersport Brand Engagement Summit Focuses On Connecting With Fans

The '17 Intersport Brand Engagement Summit today begins in earnest at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown. Highlights will include one of the first public speaking appearances from new F1 Chair Chase Carey and Northwestern professor Candy Lee talking with a group of Gen Z fans about how they consume sports. A social media module will start with MVPIndex’ Kyle Nelson outlining his findings on fan engagement, leading into discussions with execs from Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Later in the day, SBJ/SBD Exec Editor Abe Madkour will lead panels on mobile-first marketing and the future of fan engagement. Finally, the event caps off with a focus on esports.

White Sox Chair Jerry Reinsdorf yesterday afternoon spoke to about 300 conference attendees. In an interview with Madkour, Reinsdorf talked about his experience, gave advice and even weighed in on the Michael Jordan/LeBron James debate. Attendees were then treated to a Red Sox-White Sox game from the Terrace Suite at Guaranteed Rate Field.
