Laugh Track: Certificate of Authentication

NBC’s Jimmy Fallon said Giants QB Eli Manning is “accused of selling fake sports memorabilia to collectors.” Fallon: “He said that he's signed helmets that had been worn during a game when they haven't been. Turns out that's not the only questionable sports merchandise he's been pushing lately. Take a look at this commercial I saw.” The announcer for the “commercial” said in a heavy New York City accent, “Do you love sports collectibles and Eli Manning? Then you're gonna wanna come down to ‘Eli Manning's Totally Real Sports Collectibles!’ We've got everything, like an iPhone 7 signed by Babe Ruth, a game used football from Super Bowl LI and, a signed Air Bud rookie card and of course, a 2017 New York Knicks NBA championship ring.”

Fallon noted the White Sox “are in town and they're playing the Yankees and I actually read an interesting article about one of the White Sox pitchers, Jose Quintana.” Fallon: “He's from Colombia and he's a fantastic pitcher. He's been in the league for a few years but get this, when he first came to the U.S. he said he learned to speak English by watching our show, every night. It's true. We apparently taught him English and since he was in town, he offered to return the favor and teach me some Spanish. So naturally I said, ‘Si, por favor’” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 4/18).
