Laugh Track: Pace Of Play

Actor Mark Wahlberg appeared on TBS’ “Conan” last night and talked about his physical training routine, which includes playing golf early in the morning. Wahlberg: “I run the golf course. I play golf for an hour and 15 minutes.” Host Conan O’Brien asked, “How much golf can you play in an hour and 15 minutes?” Wahlberg: “All 18 holes, because I actually love my wife. Guys that play four-and-a-half hours, five hours those are the guys that don't want to go home.” O’Brien asked, “Do you even get out of the golf cart? Are you just driving and whacking the ball?” Wahlberg: “It’s not like polo. I get out and hit the ball. I just don't spend too much time milling about” (“Conan,” TBS, 1/12).

CBS’ "The Late Show" aired a segment in which host Stephen Colbert thanked some of the show’s smaller sponsors who do not get on-air mentions as much, including "Avocado Pit Golf Balls." Colbert: "Finally…a use for them" (“The Late Show,” CBS, 1/12).

NBC’s Jimmy Fallon said, “It was just announced that Tim Tebow won't be invited to the Mets' major league Spring Training camp. In response Tebow said, ‘Okay, hockey it is. Here we go. Let's try it, let's try it. I don't know. How do you do it?’” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 1/12).
