Morning Hot Reads: Killer Bill?

The SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS writes city officials are concerned that the passage of Texas Senate Bill 6, which is "aimed at policing transgendered people" with respect to bathroom usage, could "cause significant economic devastation to the city’s booming convention and destination business." The city is scheduled to host next season's Final Four, but the law could turn all Texas cities "into municipal pariahs."

The N.Y. TIMES notes Mercedes-Benz Stadium sits in a "chasm between rich and poor" in Atlanta, an "uncomfortable reminder of the disconnect between the vast wealth of the NFL and the cities to which they extend open palms." But Falcons Owner Arthur Blank "wants to rebuild the neighborhoods where ... civil rights leaders once lived."
