Heat Retire Shaq's Number In Festive 25-Minute Halftime Ceremony

The Heat last night retired Shaquille O'Neal's No. 32 during halftime of their game against the Lakers. The 25-minute ceremony "started with Shaq’s jersey being transported onto the court in a mini-Diesel, bringing back memories of his arrival in Miami" in the summer of '04 in an 18-wheeler. Driving the truck "was Shaq’s mom, Lucille." Heat President Pat Riley then "introduced Shaq, but first dumping a bag over his head stuffed with hundreds of '15 strong' cards that were the theme" of the '06 title team (PALMBEACHPOST.com, 12/22).
