Fox Sports Hires Nike's Terri Hines To Run Communications Team

Fox Sports hired Terri Hines from Nike to run its communications team. Hired as Fox Sports’ new Exec VP/Communications, Hines will be based in L.A. and will report to Fox Sports President Eric Shanks. The top item on Hines’ to-do list will be to hire a full staff, as Fox has seen many top communications execs leave the company during a year when Fox has the Super Bowl. Since the spring, execs with decades of communications experience have left the company, including Lou D’Ermilio, Dan Bell, Chris Bellitti, Ileana Pena, Elizabeth Conlisk and Emily Parker. Earlier this month, Exec VP/Communications & Integration Chris Hannan left for a job at WME-IMG.

In making the hire, Shanks looked outside sports TV. Hines had been VP/Global Communications for Converse and previously worked as communications director for Nike’s Jordan Brand. Hines officially starts Dec. 5.
