Packers LBs Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers today will meet with the NFL "for formal interviews" regarding the league's investigation into their alleged PED use (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 8/24). 

The Charlotte City Council on Monday night voted to "offer the NBA the same incentives" for the '19 All-Star Game, should the league decide to take the game there. The city and Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority have "agreed to spend up to $600,000 to support the game" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 8/24). 

The South Carolina Fiscal Accountability Authority yesterday approved Coastal Carolina's $32M plan to "expand its football stadium" (Columbia STATE, 8/24).  

Monumental Sports & Entertainment yesterday announced a multiyear Legacy partnership with Giant Food as the exclusive grocery partner of the Capitals, WNBA Mystics, Wizards and Verizon Center (MS&E).

Fox recently signed officiating analyst Mike Pereira to a "multi-year contract extension" (BLEACHERREPORT.com, 8/24).

USA Today runs a full-page ad promoting tonight's CNBC series premiere of "Cleveland Hustles," which is exec produced by Cavaliers F LeBron James. The show airs at 10:00pm ET (THE DAILY).
