Laugh Track: Just Like Home

NBC’s Fallon said, “Some more bad news for the Olympics in Rio. Apparently some Olympic teams are saying that the athlete housing is unsanitary. There's no hot water and there's a failing sewage system. When they heard that, New Yorkers were like, ‘How much is the rent?’” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 7/27).

Last night’s edition of NBC’s “The Tonight Show” featured a recurring segment called “Three Things You Might Not Know.” The three things you might not know about the Rio Games were as follows: They will be “broadcast simultaneously on NBC and WebMD,” the most “anticipated part of the Opening Ceremony is the ‘Unfurling of the Giant Mosquito Net’” and the “water quality in Rio has just been downgraded from ‘toxic sludge’ to ‘hot tub on ‘The Bachelorette’’” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 7/27).

Last night’s edition of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” featured sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez playing soccer against USWNT F Alex Morgan. Host Jimmy Kimmel said, “The great American soccer player has joined Team Chobani. And to show you how Chobani Greek Yogurt is helping athletes to achieve greatness, our very own Guillermo faced off against Alex in what many are calling the most lopsided match in the history of sports” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 7/27).
