WrestleMania 32 Sets Records At AT&T Stadium, Not Without Issues

Last night's WrestleMania 32 at AT&T Stadium set an WWE event attendance record of 101,763, besting the previous record of 93,173 for WrestleMania 3 at the Pontiac Silverdome in '87. Last night's PPV also became the highest grossing live event in WWE history, pulling in $17.3M (WWE).

AT&T Stadium continued its "tradition of humiliating snafus at major events like the Super Bowl and the NBA All-Star Game." Hours before the start of the event, "irate wrestling fans waited in long and deep lines" that were "at least eight people wide and as long as city blocks." There were "roughly 20,000 people impatiently waiting for doors to open at the scheduled time" of 3:30pm CT. The delay was caused in part when the stadium WiFi went down, "which prevented the ticket scanners from working." Then there was a "wrist band flap about seats on the floor" (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 4/4). Most fans "were in their seats by the time the main card started" (GUIDELIVE.com, 4/3).
