ESPN Plans Extensive Coverage Of MLB Exhibition In Cuba

ESPN today will roll out its plans for coverage around next Tuesday’s exhibition between the Rays and the Cuban national team. The net’s Eduardo Perez and Doug Glanville will serve as analysts for the game alongside play-by-play announcer Karl Ravech. ESPN’s Pedro Gomez and Tim Kurkjian will also provide reports. President Obama, who is attending the game, is likely to make an on-air appearance for ESPN. 

Leading up to the game, ESPN at noon ET will air “SportsCenter” on-site in Havana, hosted by Hannah Storm. Monday’s coverage on ESPN also will include player workouts in Cuba. Meanwhile, Sunday’s “OTL” with Bob Ley will focus on MLB’s return to Cuba. ESPN Deportes also will have Tuesday’s game, with Ernesto Jerez on play-by-play alongside analysts Candy Maldonado and Guillermo Celis.
