Barclays Center Hosting Event To Support MMA Legalization

The effort to legalize MMA in New York moves to Brooklyn today, as borough President Eric Adams will "express support for making New York the 50th state to legalize and regulate professional MMA." He is scheduled to be joined at Barclays Center by UFC middleweight Chris Weidman and Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark. The current legislation earlier this month passed through the State Senate for a seventh consecutive year and now returns to the State Assembly (NEWSDAY, 2/23).
