MVPindex To Announce Close Of $7M Round Of Series A Investment

Sports and entertainment social media measurement platform MVPindex today will announce the close of a $7M Series A round of investments. The oversubscribed round brought in investor groups from Dallas, N.Y., L.A. and Chicago. MVPindex co-Founder & CEO Shawn Spieth said the company, which currently has around 30 clients, will use the new funds to “increase its sales and marketing efforts in the U.S. and abroad.” The round will allow the company to accelerate its tech growth, including an expansion of measurement capabilities.

Spieth said the company hopes to be measuring some new social media platforms in Q1, and has its eye on six or seven for the future. Spieth: “Our goal this year is to become the de facto standard with the majority of agencies in sports and entertainment.” MVPindex also plans to announce some strategic technology and consumer networking partners in the coming weeks. As part of the current round, KB Partners Founder & Managing Partner Keith Bank and New Form Digital Partner Ed Wilson will join the MVPindex BOD.
