Laugh Track....Seeing RED

NBC’s Jimmy Fallon said of Lakers G Kobe Bryant’s retirement, “After Kobe Bryant announced this week that he is retiring, the average ticket price for his final game has already tripled to over $1,300. But if you’re lucky enough to be one of his teammates, you can sit back and watch Kobe play for free” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 12/1).

Last night’s edition of ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live (RED) Shopathon” featured celebrities offering “Omaze Experiences” to donors of (RED), an organization dedicated to raising money and awareness to combat HIV/AIDS. Donations are accepted on Omaze.com/red, where the full list of “Omaze Experiences” is available. Patriots QB Tom Brady was one of the celebrities and said, “I’m offering an experience of a lifetime: One lucky winner will get to snap the ball to me and then have me slap them on the butt and tell them they did a good job whether they did or not, and yes, your wife can watch.” TNT’s Shaquille O’Neal appeared in a video: “There’s only one thing missing from your holiday card this year: seven feet, 12 inches of pure sexual dynamite. Support a great charity, (Red), and you’ll get a chance to have your holiday portrait taken with me. Send them to your friends, send them to your wife, send them to your mistress. Tell them you adopted a giant. Let’s do this. Support (Red), and together we’ll make some weird-ass holiday cards.” Warriors G Stephen Curry and NASCAR driver Kyle Larson are also offering Omaze Experience, as Curry will receive an assist from a winner before he makes his pre-game tunnel shot, and Larson will take a winner for a ride in the pace car at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 12/1).
