FanDuel Creates Petition In Push-Back Against Legal Pressure

FanDuel has created an online petition, representing one of the first major steps of a counteroffensive against the recent legislative push against daily fantasy sports. The petition, under the headline of "Let Us Play," is prefaced with remarks that include: "Legislators in Washington, D.C., Nevada and elsewhere have questioned our right to exist. Knowingly or not, they have misrepresented who we are, what we do." Daily fantasy been under significant pressure in recent weeks following revelations of active employee play, a ban on unlicensed operation of daily fantasy in Nevada and the initiation of an investigation of the industry by the U.S. Justice Department and FBI.

The petition will be joined by a series of other lobbying and grassroots marketing efforts, including emails to customers in Nevada.
