Laugh Track....Help Me Ronda

UFC fighter Ronda Rousey appeared on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” last night and discussed the online war of words with boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. after she won "Best Fighter" at the ESPYs. Rousey said she hasn’t gotten “any texts or calls. He still maintains he has no clue who I am. Every time I run into him I’m going to reintroduce myself every time. Maybe one day he’ll actually remember me.” Host Jimmy Fallon said, “I think he knows who you are.” Rousey on winning her last fight in under a minute, “I took my time.” Rousey on her upcoming fight with Holly Holm in Australia, “I don't have anything against her. She's just a nice chick that's going to lose” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 10/6).

Actor Eric Stonestreet appeared on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night and noted he was a Kansas City native and big Royals fan. Stonestreet said he also roots for the Dodgers since living in L.A. but the “royal blue is in my blood.” Stonestreet: “My goal is a Game 7 World Series Royals versus the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw pitches a great game in Game 7 and we hit a walk-off home run to win the Series.” Host Jimmy Kimmel noted Stonestreet filmed a “video for the Royals just cheering them on and showing your support and they played it in the stadium." Stonestreet said the video was used to “get the crowd going.” Kimmel added, “Now to return that favor the Royals have made a video cheering you on for your appearance on this show tonight” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 10/6).

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel said of the Draftkings/FanDuel controversy, “These are giant companies that make a lot of money and do a lot of advertising. Without DraftKings or FanDuel, the only commercials we'd have during football would be Matthew McConaughey driving around talking to himself. So we owe them a lot and it's a big deal. DraftKings and FanDuel issued a joint statement assuring their customers they've seen no evidence of any wrongdoing and that integrity is of the utmost importance and blah, blah, blah. I tell you, it's a shame to see allegations of cheating in any way taint this imaginary competition that people love so much” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 10/6).
