Increased TV Money Likely To Push Packers Revenues Over $350M

The Packers today plan to publicly release their earnings, providing a glimpse into the annual financials of an NFL team. The Packers are the only public NFL team, and thus the only one to disclose revenues and profit figures.

Last year, for the 12 months ending March 31, 2014, the club reported $25.3M in net income, depressed from previous years because of four large player contracts (for '13 the club had a $43.1M net profit). With new TV money now reflected in the soon to be released numbers, the Packers are likely to report record net income of over $50M for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2015. The Packers last year reported revenue of $324.1M. With roughly $27M extra in TV money having flowed to each club from the new broadcast contracts, Packers revenues should easily top $350M. Given the club’s onfield success, local revenue is likely to have risen also.
