Monday British Open Finish Has Little Impact On Canadian Open

The rain-delayed British Open is set for its first Monday finish in almost 30 years, but Golf Canada CEO Scott Simmons said that the delay "won't negatively affect" this week's PGA Tour RBC Canadian Open. The event begins Thursday at Glen Abbey in Oakville, Ontario. Simmons said that the "biggest impact would be on Monday's pro-am with Canadian players." Some players, such as Graham DeLaet and David Hearn, "won't be able to take part because they will still be overseas" (GLOBE & MAIL, 7/20).
