CAA Sports Closing In On Deal To Acquire Todd France's Agency

CAA Sports is finalizing a deal to acquire NFL agent Todd France’s Five Star Athlete Management, which represents about 50 players in the league, sources said. France represents a strong roster of NFL players, including Bills DT Marcel Dareus, Broncos CB Aqib Talib and WR Demaryius Thomas, Giants CB Prince Amukamara and Jets WR Eric Decker. Sources said that France has been telling player clients and others in the industry in recent days that he is joining CAA Sports as early as August. France owns 100% of his Atlanta-based firm, having re-acquired it from Terry Pegula in September '14 prior to Pegula buying the Bills. France had sold his agency to Pegula in '11.
