Michigan Returns To Nike With Apparel Deal For All Sports

The Nike swoosh "will return to Michigan uniforms" beginning in '16 after the school and the apparel company agreed to a deal through '27, "with an option to extend" to '31. The school said that "financial details will not be available until the week of July 13." All 31 Michigan sports programs will be outfitted with Nike, and the men's and women's basketball teams "will use the Jordan Brand 'Jumpman' apparel and shoes." Michigan's current deal with adidas is worth $8.2M annually (DETROIT NEWS, 7/7).

Meanwhile, Providence College announced that its athletic department has signed a long-term apparel/footwear partnership with Nike, which becomes the official outfitter of the Friars (Providence College).
