PepsiCo Inks Deal To Become NYC FC's Beverage, Snack Provider

NYC FC has signed a new partnership with PepsiCo, whose 19-year league-wide partnership with MLS ended this year. PepsiCo brands will serve as the official and exclusive carbonated soft drink, bottled water, ready-to-drink iced tea, chips and salty snack partner of the club. The company already has existing signage within NYC FC’s temporary Yankee Stadium home, but will also activate with its Pepsi and Doritos brands.

Pepsi was replaced by Coca-Cola as an MLS sponsor prior to the start of the '15 season, losing its league-level exclusivity in the soft drink, bottled water and sports drink categories. However, Pepsi and Soccer United Marketing in '11 agreed to not include exclusive local rights to MLS teams.
