MSG Hiring CAA Managing Partner David O'Connor As New CEO

CAA Managing Partner David "Doc" O'Connor "is leaving the agency" to become CEO of MSG. The two companies "have worked together closely ever since O’Connor helped launch" CAA Sports in '06. O’Connor’s hiring "caps off a three-month search to fill the CEO vacancy" left by Tad Smith, who left in March to become President & CEO of real estate agency Sotheby's (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 6/22). O'Connor "helped shape the agency into the modern Hollywood superpower." No departure date "has been set" (DEADLINE.com, 6/22).
