Empty Seats In Edmonton For U.S.-Colombia Women's World Cup Match

The U.S. defeated Colombia 2-0 last night in a FIFA Women's World Cup round of 16 match before a crowd of 19,412 at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton (EDMONTON SUN, 6/23). SI's Grant Wahl tweeted it was "odd to see so few USA fans here in Edmonton compared to previous games. But we're a lot farther from the border here too." USA Today's Martin Rogers: "Huge number of empty seats here at Commonwealth Stadium – disappointing crowd."
