Night Moves....Mo Money Mo Problems

Last night’s 1:00am ET editions of ESPN’s “SportsCenter” and FS1’s “Fox Sports Live” led with highlights of U.S.-Colombia Women’s World Cup match. ESPN followed with Astros-Angels, Dodgers-Cubs and highlights of Virginia-Vanderbilt at the College World Series. ESPN reported on the arrest of Sean "Diddy" Combs for allegedly assaulting one of his son’s football coaches at UCLA 18 minutes into the broadcast. FS1 followed with Dodgers-Cubs, Royals-Mariners and Women’s World Cup highlights of Norway-England. FS1 did not report on the Diddy arrest.

ESPN’s Keith Olbermann called out his “world’s worst” persons in sports: The Maple Leafs for tweeting out a “little joke” after a local N.Y. newscast reported the Mets lost to the “Maple Leafs.” Olbermann also criticized a female A’s fan for reaching for a foul ball while holding a small child, and Kingsford Capital Management’s sponsorship deal with Scottish soccer club Partick Thistle and their new mascot.
