Laugh Track....Horsing Around

NBC’s Jimmy Fallon said, “History was made on Saturday when American Pharoah became the first horse since 1978 to win the Triple Crown, and the Stanley Cup and the NBA Finals and the French Open and somehow the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award. I don’t know how. It’s an amazing horse. … Bad news is that he forgot to wear his FitBit to see how many calories he burned. … American Pharoah is the first horse since 1978 to win the Triple Crown, or as his brother who pulls a carriage in Central Park put it, ‘Oh great, another proud moment for Pharaoh. Whoop-de-doo. Tavern on the Green, coming up. Let’s go.’” More Fallon: “The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Golden State Warriors in overtime to tie the NBA Finals at one game apiece. LeBron said it was a huge win and he couldn’t have done it without the ball” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 6/8).

Triple Crown winning jockey Victor Espinoza appeared on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” and he raced Fallon on “mini-horse motorcycles” through the studio going for the “Quadruple Crown.” Fallon said of the small motorcycles, “It’s not fair that you can actually fit on this thing” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 6/8).

Last night’s edition of NBC’s “The Tonight Show” aired a segment featuring players from the French Open grunting during play and setting them to music (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 6/8).
