Stats Acquires Scouting Solutions Provider TVT Video Technologies

Stats LLC has acquired TVT Video Technologies Inc., an Oregon-based provider of video-based scouting solutions. The deal is the company’s fifth acquisition in the last eight months, fourth since February, and second in the last week. TVT Video Technologies works with nearly every MLB club and a dozen NHL teams on merging video with data for scouting purposes, and its products will be blended with those from fellow Stats holding Bloomberg Sports. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the acquisition extends an active run of investment by Stats owner Vista Equity Partners.

“This is a perfect compliment to what we’re doing at Bloomberg,” said Stats Exec VP/Global Strategy Bill Squadron. “They’ve built up a phenomenal reputation, particularly in baseball. By putting our products and technology together, we’ll be able to get a whole other level.” Stats will retain the existing staff and brand name of TVT Video Technologies, including co-Founder Ken Rhodes.
