Laugh Track....I'm So Pretty

NBC’s Jimmy Fallon said, “The NFL recently agreed to give up its tax-exempt status. It sounds like a big change but on the bright side, the Philadelphia Eagles can still write off Tim Tebow’s salary as a charitable donation.” More Fallon: “Floyd Mayweather said that he would make around $200 million for his fight on Saturday against Manny Pacquiao. Meanwhile, the horse that wins the Kentucky Derby will get an extra carrot for doing all the work” (“The Tonight Show,” NBC, 4/30).

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel said, “The World Cup is going to be held in Russia and it’s three years away but they’re already searching for a World Cup mascot. They’re having a contest and asking people to come up with ideas for the cute little mascot that goes on all of the merchandise. The Russian government said, ‘Be creative and there will be no limit on flights of fancy.’ But be sure to include a return address so they can arrest you in case your idea flies too fancy and crosses over into gay. … Why would a Russian mascot be anything other than a bottle of vodka? Stoli, a little bottle of vodka who plays soccer” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 4/30).

Last night’s edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” featured a video called “Unboxing with Mike Tyson” in which the former boxer opens a box containing a Strawberry Shortcake doll. Tyson said, “Since I have no boxcutter, I must do it very violently, but in a good mood” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 4/30).

Last night’s edition of CBS’ “Late Show” aired a video from 18 years ago of the net's David Letterman racing in a cab to Yankee Stadium to pinch-hit in the bottom of the ninth inning. Letterman: “Popped up to short, the story of my life” (“Late Show,” CBS, 4/30).
