Bucks Meet With State Leaders, But Nothing To Announce On Arena

Bucks execs yesterday met with Wisconsin officials for 90 minutes at the Milwaukee Athletic Club to discuss a “financing deal for a new downtown arena.” The attendees continued to “express optimism,” but “all agreed there needed to be more meetings, more financial analysis and more common ground.” Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker took part in the talks (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 5/1). Wisconsin Assembly member Jim Steineke "left the meeting saying there was 'significant progress' in talks and that the parties are close" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/30).
