NFL Owners, Officials To Hear Presentations On Planned Stadiums

Reps of competing L.A.-area venue projects today in N.Y. will "update a committee of NFL owners on their progress," now that "both would-be stadiums have local approval." The Carson City Council last night approved a privately financed Chargers/Raiders stadium by a 3-0 vote. This comes "barely two months after the public announcement" of the $1.7B project. The Inglewood City Council in February adopted a ballot initiative for its competing $1.86B stadium as part of a mixed-use development backed by Rams Owner Stan Kroenke (L.A. TIMES, 4/22).

Also presenting today in N.Y. will be St. Louis stadium consultant Dave Peacock, whose appearance before the L.A. opportunities committee and other NFL officials will mark the "first time the league will see a formal presentation on the St. Louis stadium plan" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 4/22).
