“I like it, but I’m a little concerned where it could go. Take Texas – we found out on Pit Road where the line is drawn, and it could get to that on the racetrack as well” – NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, referring to a post-race brawl with Brad Keselowski, on the Chase format creating more drama (ESPN.com, 12/15).

“You have a front office that’s really uneducated, and I’m not talking about just the coach” – Former NFLer Bernie Kosar, criticizing Browns Owner Jimmy Haslam III and GM Ray Farmer for perpetuating a losing culture (“The Mike Trivisonno Show,” WTAM-AM, 12/15).

“We’re going to make him a character” – Ross Greenburg, an exec producer of Epix’ "Road to the NHL Winter Classic," on Capitals Owner Ted Leonsis (USA TODAY, 12/16).

“A call for justice shouldn’t offend or disrespect anybody. A call for justice shouldn’t warrant an apology” – Browns WR Andrew Hawkins, saying he should not have to apologize for wearing a T-shirt asking for justice in the deaths of African-American boys killed by police (Mult., 12/15).

“Down the road, I could see that that could happen. I am still making out my schedule next year” – Tiger Woods, who is designing a course in Houston, on possibly playing in the nearby PGA Tour Shell Houston Open in ’15 (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 12/16).
