Pro-Bills Crowd of 56,044 Attends Game Against Jets In Detroit

The Lions said that 56,044 tickets were redeemed for the Bills' 38-3 win over the Jets in last night's game at Ford Field, which was moved from Buffalo following a snow storm. The "largest and loudest contingent were Buffalo fans" (DETROIT NEWS, 11/25). The crowd was "behind the Bills significantly more than the fans for any of the Bills' games in Toronto." The stadium crew "painted the familiar charging buffalo logo at midfield and stenciled 'Bills' in the end zones," and the "press-box meal included Buffalo chicken wings." Ralph Wilson’s widow, Mary Wilson, attended the game (BUFFALO NEWS, 11/25). There were "messages on the video boards encouraging donations to the Western New York and Buffalo Red Cross" (N.Y. TIMES, 11/25).
