ManU's Q1 Results Mostly Down, But Sponsorship Revenue Up

EPL club Manchester United today reported revenue decreases and higher debt in Q1 following former manager David Moyes' "disastrous reign at Old Trafford." ManU "failed to qualify for the Champions League" for the first time since '95 and it "cost them across all areas of the business." The "biggest fall was in matchday revenue," down 21.8% to $23.6M (all figures US). Overall revenue fell 9.9% to $138.9M (MIRROR.co.uk, 11/17). Thanks to a record $1.17B kit deal with adidas, sponsorship revenue was up 2.4% to $72.5M (ManU).
