Trail Blazers G Damian Lillard appeared on TBS’ “Conan” last night where host Conan O'Brien asked his unusual jersey number. Lillard said that he wore the No. 1 throughout high school and college, but since someone on the Trail Blazers had the No. 1 already, he had to find a new number. Lillard: “I'm from Oakland, I went to school in Ogden, Utah, and now I'm playing in Oregon. So I figured why not use the letter O and get the No. 0” (“Conan,” TBS, 10/23).

Thomas Artiaga, the individual who ran into a burning house and carried a man to safety while sporting a Dodgers hat, was honored on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” last night. Baseball HOFer Tommy Lasorda presented Artiaga with a custom Dodgers jersey and an autographed baseball. Lasorda: “Thomas has exemplified selfless heroism to help his fellow man. It is my pleasure to proclaim that Thomas and his family will be our guests at a Dodger game next season and Thomas will throw out the first pitch” (“Jimmy Kimmel Live,” ABC, 10/23).
