Terry, Kim Pegula Approved As New Owners Of The Bills

Terry and Kim Pegula today were approved by NFL owners, with the Bills vote "first on the agenda" in N.Y. A source said that the couple "will each have a 50% ownership stake" in the club. Terry will be principal owner "for official NFL purposes" (CANOE.ca, 10/7). The vote was scheduled first so that the Pegulas now "can take part in the rest of the meetings." Questions from the owners could have ranged from "what are the Pegulas' plans for building a new stadium to some of their views on league policy" (USA TODAY, 10/8).

Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie said of the Pegulas, "They've conducted themselves as a class act throughout the process. We're delighted to approve them, and I think they'll be great for Buffalo" (BUFFALO NEWS, 10/8).
