Vikings To Further Address Adrian Peterson Situation Today

Sources expect the Vikings today to "further address" the roster status of RB Adrian Peterson, who was deactivated for yesterday's game as he faces an indictment on child abuse charges in Texas (CBSSPORTS.com, 9/14). Meanwhile, No. 28 Peterson jerseys were "plentiful" for yesterday's home game against the Patriots, "on the light rail headed to Stadium Village and on the plaza surrounding TCF Bank Stadium" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 9/15).

This morning's editions of "CBS This Morning," "GMA" and "Today" all teased the ongoing NFL scandals involving Rice and Peterson in their opening segments. CBS headline: "Sidelined." ABC: "NFL Firestorm." NBC: "Should Goodell Go?" All three broadcasts aired reports in the first nine minutes. CBS featured Bill Cowher live in-studio, and ABC had legal analyst Dan Abrams live in-studio. ABC's Robin Roberts said, "The league's off-the-field problems overshadowing Sunday's games" ("GMA," ABC, 9/15).
