The Las Vegas City Council voted 4-3 yesterday to "delay its vote on a proposal" for a $200M soccer stadium until Oct. 1. Even if the proposal passes in October, it "faces a challenge in the final vote in December" (LAS VEGAS SUN, 9/3).

Dover Motorsports has "given the potential buyer of the Nashville Superspeedway an additional month to finalize the deal." The deal for $27M in cash and an additional $20M letter of credit now has an Oct. 25 deadline to close (TENNESSEAN.com, 9/3).
